Go to sleep

I have to be at work at 7am...in about 4 1/2 hours.

I kind of screwed myself and got up around noon today(no class and no work) now I am not tired and I don't know if I should go to sleep since I will either...

Feel like crap from only 3 hours of sleep or oversleep and be late for work?

What would you do?

EDIT: I won't actually get four hours since I have to be awake and get ready at 6am

I'm in the same boat, 'cept I have 6 hours.

It kinda feels pointless, but I know that i I don't I will be zonked later.

Hard decision, though it seems really trivial.

Any way you could go to work and crash there?

Not possible, I work at a 24 hour grocery store as a checker. I am the only one on duty at that time until 8am when the other checkers start to arrive.

Some sleep is better than nothing.

I just feel like if I go to sleep I'll feel groggy and tired all day, but if I stay up I can just crash when I get home.

its only a five hour shift so I will be off by 12:30pm

Well if you crash when you get home, you're going to be in the same boat tomorrow night.

I agree, been there done that...I would rather get no sleep than anything under 2 hrs...I've worked the 30hr day before, it aint bad, you'll crash after work today, and it will be the best sleep you've ever got

Yeah but at least I don't have to be at work at 7am Sunday morning 😀

In fact it would be to my benefit since I have to work till 1230am Sunday night

Ah the joys of working at a grocery store and having each shift be different from the last. Good times. 😀

Yeah it pretty much sucks, but it pays the bills and keeps me in school. 🙂

Gotta love working 7am-12:30pm one day then 4pm-12:30am the next.

Go to sleep. Not necessary to ACTUALLY SLEEP, but to lay down, and purge your mind. Try some soft, soothing music. Release your soul. Really, brush your teeth, take a nice hot shower, then lay down and read something. It works wonders.

I've done this when I knew I was only getting 3 hours sleep, but yet, I felt refreshed when I woke up.

The only thing you need for staying up for periods over 28 hrs. A good shower...been there done it, many times

Well I made it through without falling asleep. Now I am off to take a shower and get ready to head off to work.

Hopefully I don't pass out. 🙂
