I'm deciding whether or not to go to school part time and receive my mcse and maybe ccna and work my way towards a degree overtime, or just stick to school and graduate earlier. The reason I'm pondering this is because school sucks for the most part, I've been trying to go to school full time for the last 2 years, and it just isn't cutting it. I also am living at home and am sick of that, and if I move out and work full time I can cover the costs of living on my own.

Well I was like that, going to school and living at home so I stopped school started studying for my MCSE hated school but loved the computers. SO I got certified found a nice job, due to previous experience and desire. Then moved out and went back to school. So it really depends on your experience plus CERTS always seem to expire but a degree never will. So it's a catch 22 my way worked for me, but might not for you. Just remember it helps to know what your doing, not what a piece of paper says you can do.

i used to be in the same situation as you about a year ago. i decided school wasnt worth it. so i said f it, got my mcse (worthless), ccna, and am currently working on my ccnp. and now i'm working as a network engineer making just about 55/year. granted, thats me, not you, but i just thought i'd let you know what possibilities exist out there.

Personally, I'm planning on going with the MCSE/CCNA/CCNP route. $50-60K in a year or so is too tempting to pass up. Only problem is coming up with the money.
