GM has by far the laziest department of designers yet. Everything except that new pickup/prowler wannabee has been a poorly built box with wheels. My pop was a lifelong Chevy man...he just bought his first Dodge full size pick up this year.

That says alot about their designs.

I agree, Mitsu is up there for me too. I don't like the Eclipse, either.
GM is pretty bad also with Pontiac, Saturn, and some of the Chevys.
Toyota's got some ugly cars but they have so many different models that they can hide them in the back of the lot.

One other one that hasn't been mentioned is Subaru. The Baja is an aberration, the Forester is ugly, the two-tone gold-hardware Outback series is ugly, and the Impreza series is ugly (as much as I like the WRX, the styling is not its strong point).

Good point. As much as I like the WRX, their lineup is pretty darn fugly (especially the Baja...*shudders*).

the VW Phaeton looks just like every other VW design. its what my friends and I call JAJ. (Just Another Jetta.)
As for Mitsubishi, they look as though their new grills were stolen from the Oldsmobiles of the 80s.

In a way it is unfair because it should be GM since that company produces a huge amount of vehicles compared to other companes. So, of course, GM would have more 'ugly' cars out there.

However, Pontiac is doing a great job cleaning up their cars. Basically all of the plastic cladding has been removed and even the 2004 Aztek does not look too bad.

I may get shot for it, but I think Honda desings are getting a bit more poor. Especially with the new Accord sedan and that Element.

I have to agree that Mitsu has some pretty bad designs. I have never liked any of the Eclipse designs, personally. They had something with the 3000GT though.

I think Saab, Suzuki, and Mitsu would top my list.

I agree 100%. Those are two of the uglier designs I've ever seen.
