I'm used to XP now, but one of my favorite features from Win2k was the desktop button. It was in the task bar in the bottom right, you click once and it takes you to your deskop immediately no matter how many windows are open. I did a search, but I couldn't find out info on:

Is it possible to get this on XP? I would really like to be able to set one of the buttons on my mx3100 to a "go to windows" button. Any advice? Thanks!!

xp home also you can press windows key + d also:)

EDIT: I use it alot, because I hate windows that won't minimize/ don't have a minimize button. So... I force them to minimize:)

XP has the same icon(button) but its not in the system tray anymore. Its in your quick launch now. If you don't already have a quick launch, Rclick your task bar, go to Toolbars, and put a checkmark next to Quick Launch. You'll see a desktop icon and if you hover over it, the alt text should say "Show Desktop".

Same as the old desktop icon in W2K. :)

I wasn't sure about that because I know some shortcuts only work in Pro, not home(which is silly if you ask me).

LOL! Ya, I am self-inflicted KBRD illiterate. LOL! Nah, I am just a mouse junkie. Im starting to use more kbrd short cuts tho since my track ball is wearing out. The ball is getting harder to move. Just a give and take of which way makes me more lazy. He-He. :)
