Wow. I did about 10 tests in a row. I got at least 350 each time, with one reading of 408. This with a cable modem through Comcast.

i got 130kbps, when i download off webservers, i range within 100-500kbps though, frickin speed getters are gay, it varies, i only upload at frickin 15kbps, its bullshit, i thought cable was REAL FAST! im on ATT@HOME cable, and there new server switch to ATTBI.com sucks! its slower! i dont nearly get as good as i use to, i hate ATT@HOME and they cap my upload so much! arg!

299 on @home (sigh) in Lexington. Best speeds (downloading, not surfing) since I've had cable (2 years now)....who knows what will happen though by Feb. 28th....sigh again!

Did again (cleared cache, files, etc. first) and got 334 this time...

Seems to average in the 230 range....with a 476 now being the max.

Wow, couldn't believe my score: 476. I tried a couple of more times to make sure it wasn't a fluke...ended up with 402 and 492!! Yipee! I'm on Roadrunner in New York.

I got from 180-250, averaging about 215 from ATTBI in Seattle. Not bad. I do, however, think that there rate limiter only kicks in when you start to download a big file. 344Kb might not be enough to trigger it.

Try PC Pitstop's Bandwidth Test. They have an "Extreme Bandwidth Test" that sends 5MB of data. I get about 1445Kb/s (or 1.5Mb/s) on it which is consistent with the ATTBI cap. When I try their "T1 Test" which is 500KB, I get about 2.1Mb/s.

In any case, take the results of these tests with a grain of salt. Measurements may differ heavily.
