That's bizarre. Really inefficient way of walking. I wonder if it's to imitate grass blowing in the wind so predators can't see an obvious walking pattern.

It has to eliminate any pattern to avoid arousing the old man of the desert.

Yeah I believe it has to do with camouflage though in this case it would be leaves in a tree since they live high up in the branches.
