Go shopping at Mall this weekend, or Memorial Weekend?

I haven't been shopping at the mall in ages; but it's time to do more clothes shopping and get my girl a birthday gift. Her birthday is next weekend, so I'm a little hesistant to wait until the last minute to go shopping.

But, with Memorial Day weekend coming up, are places going to be having a bunch of sales? Will I be wasting money if I go shopping this weekend rather then next?

Are there any mall experts here? There must be!
