Go Red Sox!

The team looks so different with all the new players and if you ask me they are better and younger. Schilling, that punk Beckett and Papelbon are all just tremendous.

Schilling + Beckett = Best 1,2 pitching combo in the majors. Two #1's for sure and I think they will both compete for the Cy Young award.

I don't think Beckett is as good as people think he is. He's obviously an excellent pitcher, but he's not in that elite class yet IMO (even though he pwn3d the Yanks a few years back).

I watched him for years when he was with the Marlins. He IS that good but he always had blister problems. Another problem with him is his attitude. It gets the best of him sometimes with his cockiness and total arrogance. In terms of stuff he IS elite but its up to him to finally come out of that shell and excel in a big city club like the sawx.

Yeah this team has changed a lot. A lot of new faces so we shall see how it goes. The good news is that our pitching is excellent and once Manny and big papi start hitting its going to be a complete package. Dont forget we also have nixon and coco crisp out at the moment...both very good players.

A question for those that watch the Sox on a daily bases. Whats up with Mike Lowell? I remember he was awesome for a couple of years then turned into a hopeless mess. I know he was alot better than he's showed the past 2 years and I figure he would have some fun with the green monster. Has he played well? What about Alex Gonzalez?
