So, my friend and I decided to build a go kart this winter for fun. We were looking to see if anyone here knew any good plans that have worked out for them, and ideas for seating arrangements (we were thinking one in front of the other). If anyone knows anything, please feel free to contribute! Thanks

Gokarts don't generally lend themselves to more than one body. Why would you want to be a passenger in a deathtrap?

There's no reason why you can't make a 2 seater gokart, but traditionally you make the gokart wider and sit side by side.

ok ok, we are less focused on the seating right now, we are looking for basic plans to begin brainstorming

I have been looking at a similar thing, and I'd say this is the best suggestion yet. All the plans that came up on google sucked ass.

If I may add to this:
[*]Make it 1 person only. the extra person only adds weight and its not that much fun just sitting in the thing. Just take turns driving it.
[*]Put the biggest engine you can fine. No, don't go for those shittty 2HP lawnmower engines. Go to the scrapyard and try to find a decent motorcycle engine, with a gearbox if you can.

I want to build a sporty one this summer, I just have to find out where I can drive it and then convince a few friends to part with their dough.
