Got home today and took receipt of my V1. Just for kicks, I took it on a trip through the local freeways this evening! it worked like a charm, and the learning curve does not appear to be very daunting!

I drove past the local strip malls, so I got to listen to the x-band beeps. Then I decided to drive to coronado island. on the way back from the island, the v1 detected an abundance of ka-band radar directed from the front! i took a closer look ahead and spotted two chp cruisers camped out by the old toll booths on the bridge approach!

good educational experience overall. and it was fun, to boot!

Still no cure for pacing, instant on, and planes / radio. Drive safe & smart.

Next time you're out for a drive and go to Coronado, go a little bit further to Imperial Beach. Right off the Silver Strand HWY, Giant Pizza King has the best greek salad I have ever tasted in my entire life.
