Yeah, the Cowboys without their star quarterback, but gloat on.
lol, like Romo would make much of a difference.

He would distract the defensive backs and the G-men's D-line with his hunky hotness and they'd be too distracted to play football. :p

Either that or he'll have Jessica flashes on the sideline.

I would watch a cowboys game just for this. :D

What, are you 10?! Calling someone a crybaby?!

People kept saying the Patriots were running up the score last year when it was generally 35-16 ... you're all a bunch of fuckin hypocrites.

Gibson, you think the D sucks to force those turnovers? Oh wait, it's ELI! Not the D! LOLOLOLOL!

Being a star is putting up the stats and being a popular player - there's plenty of "stars" across the sports leagues that haven't won championships/playoffs.

*edit*

Giants offense was horrible most of the game but Dallas didnt even show up. It was the defensive play that made the game the way it was.

Giants won, but I don't feel so great about it. If the Giants offense plays like this, it's gonna be a different story next time around against a healthy Dallas team. Eli was off his game, Plax couldn't catch anything, I don't know why they keep throwing to Hedgecock who obviously cannot catch a football, etc. etc. Giants offense gotta get their act together.

On another note, what the hell happened to the officiating this year? It's been ridiculous all over the league. The penalty on Tuck might have been the worst call in NFL history.

No, there isn't. That's too generic. This thread is for gloating over Jerry Jones and his band of expensive misfits and malcontents.

You guys beat up on a diminished squad, AND ran up the score. If the cowboys had done this to a Manning-less Giants, missing RB and 4 of their starting defensive players, you'd be crying foul and wanting a fine.

"Diminished squad"? It's not like the Giants haven't had a few injury issues, and besides, injuries happen to every team in football - good teams just plan around them by getting decent depth. If the Cowboys are sinking so much money into mal-contents and overrated "stars" that they don't have a deep bench, who's fault is that?

Got it. So then Romo is a popular player and puts up nice stats. He's just not a winner.

That was such a bullshit call it wasn't even funny. I think the ref's just started feeling bad for Dallas as they were getting sacked every other play.

Yes and no. He built the talent, but the players quit listening to him. He was never going to win a title as a coach. Plus the offense is better with him gone. But I do credit him with resurrecting the franchise.

The problem with Dallas is the owner who thinks he is a GM. Until Jerry Jones sells the team or gets a football man to run the show, Dallas will be lucky to win another SB.

Sucks for us Cowboys fans.

I love the Cowboys fans with all their pretty little excuses lined up in a row.

I don't see the argument you're trying to make - are you saying that someone who doesn't win playoffs can't be a star? That's a pretty stupid statement man.
No. The stupid statement is calling Romo a star. Again I ask, he's a star based on what?

PS: being on the cover of People Magazine doesn't qualify.

He is a top 5 QB in the league, and his stats show it. Of course you are going to counter with 'he hasn't won a playoff game' and completely disregard his season success. This is silly. First, Romo is basically a second year QB in terms of experience. He sat the bench for several seasons aftering being an unrestricted FA out of college. And unlike Derek Anderson of the Browns, Romo continues to have success and the league has not stopped him consistently. He is one of the best at avoiding the sack. And he is only going to get better. Like both Manning's, Romo has not had early playoff success. But like both Manning's, I don't doubt that Romo will become a winning playoff QB. He needs seasoning, is all. Hopefully he cuts down on the fumbles and makes better decisions as he ages.

Commissioner failing to support his refs last year. The media can basically destroy an official's career now. Try operating under those conditions at your workplace.

Well, I have always seen Romo as a Brady copy for some reason...which is not a bad thing. Don't know why, but it seems like Romo watched a bunch of Brady tapes and tried to copy him. That said, I think Romo is one of the top QB's today. He hasn't reached Peyton Manning or Tom Brady status, but i think he will atleast get close to it.

He tries to imitate Favre more than anyone.

He does an awful job doing that then....

That would requires him to throw 3 or 4 picks a game;)

No. But now he is because he's a winner. That's my point. Stop drooling over pretty boy Romo, who has done nothing to date except singlehandedly blow two playoff games in successive post seasons.

I'm a Giants fan but I will have to concede that Romo is a star. He is/was dating Jessica Simpson which effectively gave him that status. :)

Oh children. The Cowboys were missing 5 pro bowlers and 3 other starters for this game. Yes, that's an excuse - an excuse is a reason for why something happened. And that is the reason. Do you really think it's the same game with Tony Romo, Felix Jones, Kyle Kosier, Jason Witten, Terence Newman, Pacman Jones, Roy Williams, and Matt McBriar? I don't think anyone expected Dallas to win this game, or to even keep it close.

By the way, get off your high horse about Romo. He's obviously one of the top QBs in the league. I guess Elway wasn't a star until 1997? I guess Barry Sanders isn't a star?

Favre doesn't throw a "pickoff" or "interception."

The proper term is "gunsling."

True story, go look it up.
