Why was Funny Cide neutered? Is there any benefit to that? Doesn't the main payoff from these horses come from selling them to stud farms?

Sometimes a neutered horse just runs better. Heck, wouldn't you? 😉 Seriously, some horses have a drastic improvement if they're cut over their track record when they're still stallions.

Funny Cide was Gelded at an early age to fix a medical problem. He had one testicle which would not descend, making it very painful and uncomfortable for him to run, so they removed both.

Dunno...left to go catch the Ward/Gatti fight (which was AWESOME)

Wouldn't surprise me if WHAS pre-empted anything on the digital channel for that Crusade stuff. Why does that have to take up a whole weekend every year? And doesn't one of the other channels have another weekend of that later in the year??
