if broduer had shut out the ducks game 6, he could have won it. if he had, you don't hink Anaheim fans would have booed??

it happens. Broduer keeps winning Stanley cups but doesn't seem to get much individual acclaim. problem of being part of a systematically good team i guess.

uh...

Giguerre is a good goaltender, don't get me wrong. He just wasn't there when the team needed him the most.

with that said, Brodeur had 3 shutouts in a FINAL series (one of them is in GAME 7). Just because ducks sweeped 2 teams in the playoffs doesn't make him deserve the trophy. He did *not* face pressure at all until they faced the Devils (keep in mind they sweeped detroit and wilds and a 4-2 win against dallas) whereas Brodeur faced 2 elimination games (I think). Give Giguerre some time, he'll be a really good if not one of the best goaltenders sooner or later but he just doesn't have the experience yet.

I guess you didn't see any of the first 3 rounds. Giguere was simply incredible. Don't forget his record for consecutive OT shutout minutes. He is the reason the Ducks got so far.

WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I had that in my sig for a while now.... gotta keep the faith!!

Man, they more than made up for that 94 gaffe vs the rags. Thisll make the 2001 sting heal a bit too.

Shame the Jig won the smythe even though he totally blew in the finals. Can you say, one hit wonder????

I think the Ducks ran out of gas on the road.

since you don't know much about hockey that's about how much your opinion is worth.

Broduer shut the Ducks out in 4 regulation games, yes, game 4 was eventually won by the ducks in anaheim by 1-0 in OT, but during regulation Broduer DID shut them out. Broduer is the MOST underrated Goalie in Hockey and the excuse is always the same, look at the system.

hey, if your ALWAYS going to take the person that made the most contribution between a winning team and a losing team, very often your going to pick from the losing team as the WINNING Team USUALLY has more good players on it. but that should NOT only criteria. IS Gigi the more valuable goalie to his team?? perhaps but that's because his team isn't as GOOD top to bottom as the Nets, to punish Broduer because the team in front of him is better is LUDICROUS.

Bottom line is Broduer did what it took to WIN GAME 7 and GIGI didn't.

this is the 3rd time that Broduer SHOULD have one the Con Smythe and didn't.

ahh yes, i forgot my opinion is worth less than yours. silly me.

your opinion is = your reading ability.

your opinion had NO basis according to your own post EXCEPT that you weren't "much" of a hockey fan.

hmmm

My opinion at least supported.

if your going to complain that i'm claiming that your opinion is worth less than mine, at least try and support your opinion or comment on why mine is off.
