never weak but always strong
to protect you and defend you
whether you are right or wrong.

After seeing "Walk the Line" I went and bought both the soundtrack and "Best of" Johnny Cash CD. Good stuff!

You're older than you've ever been
And now you're even older
And now you're even older
And now you're even older
You're older than you've ever been
And now you're even older
And now you're older still
TIME!
Is marching on!
And TIME! ...
Is still marching on!

This day will soon be at and end
And now it's even sooner
And now it's even sooner
And now it's even sooner
This day will soon be at and end
And now it's even sooner
And now it's sooner still

i was talking about "It Ain't Me, Babe"

Sorry.

According to this:

http://osiris.sund.ac.uk/~cs0awy/dylan/4it_ain.txt

It was written by Dylan in 1964 and covered by Cash in 1965. Did not know that.

i never even knew cash covered it

after i realized who i was talking to, i just figured you probably knew what you were talking about, hence the edit :p

Looks like it was covered by a Who's Who list of musicians in 1965!

Yeah? Well I listened to Johnny Cash before it was cool.

At any rate, Cash has a knack for recording covers that sound better than the originals. Take his last (second to last?) CD. Pretty good.
