LOL, the irony is, it's people like you who turn these discussions childish!

Care to explain? Or are you spouting crap as usual 😛[/quote]

Go back and read the thread. Notice how everything was going along nicely, until your first post. Then it turned into a pissing contest.

Done - from what I can see it was all going along nicely, till somebody (me) didnt swoon over a widget and somebody (me again) dared to suggest that no operating system (regardless of Vendor) is actually creating an interface with any tangible benefits other than added spangley bits.

Then linux folks get shirty, I explain my criticism and offer tangible benefits that are achievable, linux folks get shirtier and someone declares themselves the World Health Authority and claims miracle cure for CTS is weights.

Gotta love these forums 😀

OK you are right. CTS doesnt exist, its imaginary and caused by people not benchpressing enough down at the sweatbox.

Reading is hard, I know.

wonder when linux is getting 3d accelled gui? macs already got it, soon ms will.

It exists, it just hasn't made it into the mainstream yet, but if you want it, you can just set it up yourself 🙂
Probably will make it soon now that the X development is proceeding at a good pace though.

a distro i haven't heard of before has a live demo cd with XGL, http://kororaa.org/

i downloaded kororaa. it's purdy. the composite manager uses 9Mb of ram. one guy claimed to have it running on a 600 mhz cpu and a fx5200 fluidly.

sadly there isn't much talk outside of the linux circles i guess. nothing much in pc magazines and such.

Is there usually more Linux talk in PC Mag? I haven't looked at PC Mag in years because every other issue seems to be "Top 100 pieces of crap we want you to buy!".

Every issue of PC World seems to be 'Remove spyware from your system!'

But in Maximum PC, there is plenty of talk about Linux. One of the guys tried Mac OSX for a while and I think also some distro of Linux for 6 months or something like that.
