Bed seems a little short at the expense of the 2nd row of doors/seating, but other than that I see it is a good idea. A lot of people have light pickups that are used more for commuting than hauling, but do need the occasional versatility for DIY trips to Home Depot.

My main concern is how much it will cost. The hybrid drivetrain on the Denali/Yukon proper is pretty expensive. Honestly though, I wish that they would modify this a bit more and launch it as a reborn Caprice, but maybe thats just me... ;)

I like it, I think it's cool...

...but the rearview's in that thing look sorta scary. It looks like it needs less of a high backend and more pickup like, just straight back instead of at such an angle...

It's just a pimped up Crewman :p

Why are you yanks so behind the times?

EDIT: Also, the HSV is way better looking ;)

...which is itself just a pimped up El Camino.

If mullets came back in style, would you brag that you've had one for the last 20 years?

The HSV has a 10 year old design on a 2 year old car. Calling it better looking than anything made in the last 5 years is a joke.

Dude, we've had utes since forever

Nice try, but that thing looks like a chromed 300C with the boot cut out ;) Sexay!

EDIT: I also love the way the article says this like it's something new :

While the Holden Ute also features this style of construction, the Denali XT offers more utility, and four doors instead of just two.

No way, like Holden never made a four-door ute

Most amusingly, we designed the monstrosity ;);)

Really? So Australians do know how to design an interesting vehicle. You'd never know it looking at the Holden and Ford lineup.

It's a cool trucklet. I would like to see the General build it.

Looks like the front took a lot of styling cues from the R8. Not too sure what to think of it, it looks like one of those cars you'd just have to see in person.

Haha they even stole the in-bed trunk design from the Ridgeline...

And that thing looks hideous, even for a concept.

Looks like what the Ridgeline SHOULD have been. I hit it, repeatedly.
