GMAT question

Im taking the GMAT test at the end of this month

Do you get penalized for not answering every question (ala GRE)?? What I mean is, if you have only 1 min left, I just randomly select my answers for the GRE (coz u get penalized if you dont finish the test). What about for GMAT??

You don't get penalized per se but your score will be lower as they're counted as wrong. As its adaptive...finish the test, the last few ?'s dont affect score too much. And if you're running out of time on the GRE, I don't recommened taking the GMAT without some decent prep on whatever section(s) on the GRE you couldn't finish. Having taken both, the GMAT is a more difficult (though neither was markedly difficult) exam, takes longer, and has a analytical writing section (don't know when you took your GRE pre/post Oct-02).

Good luck to you. Finish the test, and if the questions start getting really easy, you're farking up, maybe look into cancelling scores and retaking. Peace.

I concur. You don't lose points, you just don't get them. But the adaptive tests rule. To me they make taking tests so much easier. Just concentrate on the questions in the beginning. The GRE analytical I started daydreaming about halfway through it. (yes, i have a very short attention span) By the time I got myself back on track, I had lost about 10 minutes. I ended up having to guess on the last 5 questions and still ended up with a 780 on that part. Now if they had only had that for when I took the ACT and fell asleep during the reading section.
