Gmail 'read mail' vs 'unread mail' contrast issues..

So, I recently got a computer upgrade at work & can't read sh!t on my gmail anymore. The 'read' 'unread' mail look the same color.

The colors on everything look fine otherwise. I've checked everything else & adjusted the monitor settings as much as possible, but instead of the Gmail's 'read' mail being BLUE and 'unread' being WHITE, it all just looks the same.

Any suggestions??? TIA

Judging by the "newer version" option at the top, I'm assuming that's the "older version"?

Well, it was the same. No improvement in contrast.

I have a feeling it's probably more related to the graphics on this computer, but....MAN.....it's annoying!!

Eh? Considering when its unread its white and when read its blue in gmail it sounds like nothing to do with gmail itself but rather your monitor or graphics card defaults adds a blue tint, or an overly blue tint.

Well, I *did* find a solution & I'll try & make this as short as possible, but here goes....

My computer = computer #1
next cubicle = computer #2
front computer = computer #3 (uses CRT monitor)
back computer = computer #4

Tried #1 w/ #2's LCD monitor. Same prob.
swapped video cable. Same prob
Swapped power plugs. Same prob.

Took my computer out to #3 w/ the CRT & it worked perfectly! (WTF?)

Ok, so IT guy finally shows up & says it's probably in the analog/digital conversion. (I'm thinkin' horsh!t at that point, but I play along)

Guy hooked up #4 w/ a new PC (exact same one as mine w/ INtel 82865G video chipset) and using one of the exact same Dell LCD's that *supposedly* had the prob w/ the D/A conversion. Well guess what........#4 is playing w/ the Dell LCD PERFECTLY!!! (I signed onto my Gmail there to see after he left).

Anyway........I got a new ViewSonic out of the deal and it solves the prob, so I don't really care, except to make sure I show the IT guy #4 next time he comes.

😀
