... with the auto-save every minute... It takes focus off the textbox I'm typing in...

I can't seem to find where to turn off auto-save draft. Can you ?

I'm using Opera 9 beta. Please state what browser you're using.
 
Hmm good point. I looked around and I can't seem to find the option to turn that off. Perhaps they will add it if we complain enough?
 
i dont even notice when it autosaves. i hope you're not a surgeon of any sort... "we need to make the incision in the upper... so did anyone watch yesterday's <insert TV show here>"
 
Sorry should've mentioned... Opera beta 9. Are Opera 8.5 users experiencing this ?

I didn't notice this until only last night... and I've had beta 9 for a couple weeks.
 
i searched the settings page, as well as the Help section regarding drafts.

Google volunteers that drafts are saved automatically but doesn't say how to change it.

i am using 8.51...works fine for me...auto save does not steal focus

Nawh. I have that all on file, and I rebooted it remotely last night when I first saw you having problems.

1) that's not the point... that doesn't resolve the issue of it not working for me.
2) I left that browser for Opera because it's better overall in my personal experience. I had been using FF since it came out before I switched. I can tell which is better by now.

Doesn't do it for me either. What browser are you guys using. I think that is their best feature yet. Now I never worry about losing an email because of a site error.

I LOVE gmail.

It looks like 9 beta is the culprit... my laptop has the same problem with that version.

So who's supposed to fix this... Gmail or Opera ?

I still wish I could turn autosave off.
