I noticed recently a feature of Gmail which, if you install the Google toolbar, will send internet usage statics to your Gmail account. How does this work, how does the toolbar collect what websites you visit, especially if you aren't directly typing them into the google toolbar? Does it send the information to your Gmail account every time you enter in a new website or search word? Is this different from the regular website history recorder that Firefox or IE use?
