Gmail and Google apps hosted email login in the same broswer

I was always able to sign into my gmail account and my google apps hosted account in the same browser (in different tabs) without any problem until the last 2 days. Now it does not allows me only to sign into one account only.

Earlier I used to have two tabs i.e. mail.google.com and mail.mygoogleappsdomain.com automatically open(on browser opening) and both accounts open open and show mail. I'm unable to do that now and have to signin and signout each time to access the other email account.

Is anybody else having this problem?
 
my dad ran into this a couple of weeks ago, but i generally assume hes wrong or broke something.

i *think* i had him use the option to sign into an alternate account from his gmail account, and just showed him how to switch there.

so if he wasnt wrong....oops
