I agree that Toyota's lineup is bizzare. The above SUVs are targeted to the former minivan crowd and are mainly street machines with limited offroad ability (except the Landcruiser). The FJ Cruiser and 4Runner are targeted at the offroad/sports/huntin' crowd. The Landcruiser is so screwed up now that I doubt Toyota has a clue what it is supposed to be anymore. Add the Lexus SUVs into the mix and Toyota is really redundant.
 
A cobalt will soon be replacing my civic, I am quite excited. The cobalt's level of refinement, at least for me, was very unexpected in this class. At high speeds it has a high level of composure and a very serene mellow quality about it that is worlds away from civic.
