the volt/bolt are both excellent and reliable vehicles. GM's super cruise uses superior tech with its lidar to the cameras in a tesla, and they have been playing with this tech for decades longer than tesla has existed. just like the 3, and every other Tesla model, they may deliver but it will be later than expected and with serious quality issues that will be explained away by its fans. also, the avg transaction price for the cybertruck will be much higher, the GM one has to price in all the discounts they mess around with. We will see. I hope they both sell well.
lol. Super Cruise is superior tech? We shall see. And GM purchased Cruise in 2016 and Cruise was founded in 2013. Tesla was founded in 2003 although Tesla didn't IPO until 2010. So no GM haven't been playing with Cruise tech for decades. lol. GM can't even do OTA updates on their vehicles.

And Tesla is often late but that's because Elon promises big and is often brand new tech or manufacturing. Tesla was early with the Model Y because they reused lot of Model 3 tech. Innovation is often hard to time and forecast because things often do go wrong. But one company, Tesla, is innovating while, GM, is sitting on their ass trying to protect their legacy ICE business.

I know it must kill you to see Tesla's success but that's how disruption works. GM and others will go the way of all the past disrupted companies- to the graveyard.

Looks like those saying low 6 figures were correct with high 5 figure variations coming in the next couple of years.

At that price it’s a Halo vehicle and they’ll sell everyone they make.

The cybertruck and this hummer are not marketed to the same people. They may have similar price ranges and technical specs, but they are absolutely not for the same people.

So GM finally revealed targeted specs on the GMC Hummer EV truck. It will be released in the fall of 2021 as 2022 model. It will start at $112,595 and have 350 mile range.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/20/gm-unveils-hummer-ev-as-worlds-first-supertruck-for-112600.html

I'm sorry but Tesla Cybertruck tri-motor starts at $69,990 with 500 mile range. It's no contest. Just shows you just how far GM is behind Tesla when it comes to battery and EV technologies. They can't compete in price and range. And GM tech will be inferior as well. Inferior truck overall. But I'm sure some people will buy it since it has Hummer name and is not a Tesla.

lol plus $39k base for the Cybertruck. C'mon GM. You could get a fully-loaded Cybertruck probably with the camping kit & EV quad for $40k less than the Hummer.

model 3 avg is about 50k? not the 37 or whatever is advertised. avg on the bolt is lower than msrp.

The tri-motor Cybertruck is $70k with 400+mi range. The closest Hummer EV is the EV Edition1 1 at $112.5k with 350+ mi range.

If you're comparing base to base, then it's $40k vs $80k.

Clearly we're not going to be satisfied until people can drive down the road in a three story building.

Spending a couple weeks in any other part of the world where they have normal sized vehicles then flying back to Texas is...jarring.

Monty Python foretold of this Time.

It must kill you to see GM sell out the entire year’s production of the new Hummer in under an hour. :p

Never liked the originals, but this one has a nice aesthetic that remembers the past.

Tri-motor Cybertruck is 500+ mile range. In fact, the tri-motor Cybertruck will be $10k cheaper than the cheapest 2024/2025 Hummer EV truck which is rated at 250 miles. Who knows how much cheaper and better range Cybertruck will have in 2024/2025 since Tesla is constantly improving their EV tech and decreasing the price of their vehicles.

:) It's good GM can sell like 1,000 Hummers. Let's see how many of the $80k Hummers they can sell to the general public.

The Cybertruck is Elons' Homer. Technically I am sure it will be great, but as a Design, I hope they don't sell a single one.

Cant see them selling many of these at that price point. Cheaper versions will do better, obviously. Be hard to park in most garages to get plugged in too. Specs are amazing, I like the looks too. Just so expensive for everyday people.

meh, since when do everyday people buy Hummers? Now if they can get the military to sign up for an electric vehicle, they're set. Wouldn't even be for overseas, just in bases int eh US could save a lot of fuel. the US DOD is one of the worst polluters in the world.
