I wonder if this includes glass replacement every 3 years or so. I remember reading somewhere that direct sunlight, over time, weakens bulletproof glass.

It does. Supposedly the stuff in areas of DC that the President frequents (for building windows) and the stuff in the cars is supposed to get changed out yearly.
