American corporations place too much emphasis on quarterly financial results.

I work for a manufacturing company and constantly see how management bypasses quality measures in the interest of quarterly numbers.

Even under protest by workers....management nearly always says "ship it!"

I'm just glad I don't work in management or in quality......otherwise I doubt I could sleep good at night.
