The recall involves the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia from the 2014 model year. All of the affected SUVs were built between March 26 and Aug. 15 of 2013.

GM says the engine control module software may cause the fuel gauge to read inaccurately. If that happens, the vehicle might run out of fuel and stall without warning.

I'm still waiting for something from the dealer on replacing my electric power steering unit. I'm sure while they do that the service writer will probably try and "upsell" me a tranny flush LOL..

I got my recall notice for the airbag wiring harness. It then states parts are not available so I'll be notified when they are.

The fix consists of removing a connector and soldering the wires together!

I guess they are out of solder.

You are supposed to comment on the news your report, so what is your comment?
Otherwise you don't need to create a post because we can all read the news at our convenience thanks.

My comment is this, I think you are fixated on one company when all automotive companies have recalls including your favorite

Source?

AFAIK there is not one single OEM that will instruct techs to solder on an airbag harness. Hell, they won't trust them to solder on anything, for that matter. Their stance is that solder is evil and causes massive voltage drops [if you're completely terrible at it].

The intent of all of my recall posts is to make sure that forum members who may own these vehicles are aware of the recalls.

I'm not sure what I would comment on.

I don't know anything about the recalls, and I don't own one of the vehicles.

If I had a relevant comment, I assure you I would post it.

I have posted Ford, GM, Hyundai, Toyota, and Dodge recalls fairly recently.

The letter I got. Pretty sure it said solder. I'll scan it for your reading pleasure tomorrow :p
