GM recall puts bad ignition switches back in some cars

Fuck GM, 3 recalls due on my vehicle and all I get is a card saying "we'll contact you when parts become available", the first one (electric power steering) is going on to 5 months old yet they still can't source out parts??.

So is GM now officially worse than Chrysler when it comes to reliability?

I owned my 99 Chrysler (Dodge) truck for 13 years. It was and is by far the single most reliable vehicle I ever owned. I think the bad image Chrysler has is leftover from the 80's and early 90's. The big three all sold shit vehicles in the 80's but the Chrysler ( and sub brands) were by far the worse.

I think Chrysler still gets a bad rap more from their crappy automatic transmissions. I'm not sure what's changed since Fiat SpA bought them out but the last ones I drove were 2011 Caravans/T&Cs, and the transmissions were still clunky.

From my own personal experience, the crown for least reliable vehicles goes to Volkswagen, followed by GM (cars only, not trucks).
