It's worth $20K, but I thought it was more Corvette sized with a 350ci under the hood. I'm sure some folks will LOVE it.

Looks decent. How much? Ecotec 2.2-liter? Nevermind! :disgust:

The Ecotec is a neat four cylinder engine.... definately not RWD roadster material in it's naturally aspirated form though. Maybe a turbo would make it a little better.

Chrylser is already introducing RWD cars again.

Cadilac is doing the same soon too.

What do you mean by 'soon'? The CTS, XLR, SRX, and Escalade are all RWD platforms. In fact the Seville STS and Deville DTS are the only FWD Caddys in production.

I didn't realize from the picture, that it was so small. That engine is probably perfect for it.

Their Australian division seems to have some common sense in this arena, it's about time the US part caught up.

Cool, I prefer RWD, which is one of the reason why I don't own a Japanese brand car - not much to choose from, or too expensive. My last Japanese brand car was RWD - Isuzu Impulse.

Actually, the GM Voxel 220 and Opel Speedster (pretty much the same car) use the 2.2L ecotec engine. It makes great acceleration for such a small engine, easily a great competitor for the Lotus Elise.

Not that I'm advocating 4 cylinder engines...

This thread says mid size. Not full size or SUV.

Yea, but your post makes no mention of mid-size cars. You said "RWD cars."

Besides, the CTS is classified as a mid-size sedan.

I'm just happy the Solstice project is going forward. I really hope it makes it to production.

I drive a Japanese car that is RWD, has an LSD, and puts down more power than most of the V8 production cars produced that year (1987), almost as much as the Vette IIRC. :) The Supra was a very cool car at the time. (still is if you ask me, if only they weren't so expensive)
