Instead of drilling through the floor in my new car in install an amp and subwoofer, I'd rather glue these little metal plates that I have (they have screws coming out of the plates) to the metal of the floor. What can I use to attach metal to metal with a VERY strong hold?

yep metal to metal epoxy.

edit: be sure to get the industrial strength kind that holds 100000000lbs/in². ;)

LePage brand "Bulldog Grip" epoxy.

I haven't come across two things it won't permanently attach to each other, including beds and ceiling.

You need to prepare both surface very well.

No epoxy will bond well if you don't prepare the surfaces properly.

JB-Weld available at auto-part stores everywhere. Best stuff ever.

i fixed the gas tank on an Isuzu pickup with that stuff

it was leaking from the outlet of the tank. so i sawed off the tip, cleaned up both ends, and JB welded it back together. worked fine, no more leak

after it's hardened, you can actually weld to it

A big part of my job is welding/fabrication. You cannot weld to JB weld. It is an epoxy.
