I need one for a family member... fast.

curious to see if this is the cause of light headedness.

any good ones out there?

"I only recommend actual blood glucose machines (that require blood). All of them work well, but I particularly like OneTouch Ultra because it's easy to use, has quick results and not messy. If you're looking for a cheap one, then AccuCheck Active... it's the cheapest one out there from a reliable brand, but it requires cleaning."

That's from my sister, who works at a pharmacy.

doc 3 wks ago said all checked out fine... still taking diabetes pills and blood pressure pills.

lifetime smoker.

My wife uses a One Touch Ultra on a daily basis, she says it's the best she's tried and rather painless.

How are you supposed to check blood sugar without a blood sample? Of course they require pricking.

Go with the OneTouch Ultra or Ultra Smart. The US has a backlight and beeps when it has enough blood. Both great features.

actually there is a watch going through testing that wouldnt need a blood sample at all. There are tons of advances made everyday. Its just that the FDA takes forever to approve them.

thankyou rudeguy... what 'tradein' are they talking about....

also, since I dont know as I've never used it, my company has a flex spending acct....
would i be able to buy this with it, using the pretax dollars of my acct?

or

medicaid definitely covers meters and test strips.

They are talking about trading in an old meter. I have a couple laying around. I would be willing to send them out if someone covered shipping.

rudeguy, i'm thinking about taking you up on your offer for the old one.. are they heavy though?

for me to cover shipping costs to me, then for me to send it to them, just wondering how heavy they are to see if it's worth it.

also i put the unit and 100 strips in my cart, i'm about 2.77 away from free shipping on that site you listed.... anything you recommend i need to buy, lances?

how does medicare purchases work...

1.provide medicare # when ordering?

I have never personally maid a claim with medicaire, I assume its the latter.

As far as the cost of shipping on the meter, I can't see it being more than a few bucks.

hey there thanks, i've been working with them, that link with the hot deal. too bad in the end, they found out they don't belong in the coverage of the provider (united health care) of my dad's medicare. they advised me to call them up and have them tell me, which are valid places to order from...
