Glock owners, lets talk guns.

I recently bought a Glock 34 and so far it's been a blast to shoot. It's a 9mm handgun for those of you who don't know. I added some Tritium Fiber optics sights (TFO for short) and they are pretty sweet. I also purchased the glock tactical light with laser but I'm not quite sure why yet, lol.

I'm eyeing a couple upgrades but haven't made the jump yet. Also, what ammo do you shoot? I am currently using the white box Winchesters from Wal-Mart but I found some for cheaper. At Academy sporting goods you can get 1000 rounds of CCI Blazer for about $75. Not bad..

What do you all have?

Later.

I have a Glock 19, Thats the only glock I currently own, plan on getting something smaller for CC in the future though.

I usuaully shoot georgia arms reloads. I think I got 1000 Rounds for right at $100.00 http://www.georgia-arms.com/

GA typically has a booth setup at local gun shows in my area so I pick some up when I am there.

My Glock rep said that shooting reloads voids my warranty, is this true?

You every shoot IDPA or IPSC? I know there are a bunch or other types. Any upgrades? I was looking at Glocks 26 for CCW but then it would only be in my car, not on my person.

I've shot all kinds of crap...as well as the good stuff through my ancient Glock 17...I've had it 13 years...since I was 14 and the thing just keeps banging away.

I've neglected that gun more than any other and it is still as accurate as ever. It was my first gun (I paid for it, but my dad kept it till I was 18), and I plan on giving it to one of my future kids when I die. I have full confidence that it will be shooting as well then as it does now.

Hi guys.. I have a Glock 19C and was thinking of selling it. It has very light use. I went to the range about 5 or 6 times and cleaned it everytime after shooting. How much do you think I could sell it for? It has 2 clips and the case.. standard stuff.

glock 30... .45 calibre

I shoot both factory winchesters and my own reload.
I have the glowinthedark triple dot sights and the laser as well.

They are actual great guns, take very little maten. and will take anything you throw at them and still function correctly.

I might would be interested in that 19C frankgomez75....

I wouldnt worry about shooting reloads, I have never heard about reloads voiding the warrenty, how are they gonna know anyway? It all makes the gun dirty the same way 😛. They would only know if you told them.

I think glocks are fine guns. I personally don't like the look of them though, but I think they're very reliable and accurate.

I am a big time Sig fan.

SIG's FTW.

Noone ever said glocks where the greatest I would rather have my sig over my glock ANY day of the week.

You make baby jesus cry :'(

They are the Honda of pistols: Cheap, reliable, plain, and made of plastic.

It gets you where you want to go, but not in style.

Rofl So true, so true. Ceapt the cheap part, most glocks are pretty pricy guns compared to other similar guns. They are no sig/kimber in terms of price though however.

This is how I felt until I bought my Glock 23 (.40 S&W FTW!). Always thought they looked like squirt guns. It turned out to be my favorite gun. The recoil is a little bit sharper when comapred to other guns of the same caliber, but I attribute that to how light the gun is.

Yea even my 19 9mm has some serious kick for a 9mm, but the gun is very light.

Similar in what regard? Caliber?

The only thing Glocks are more expensive than is Glock knockoffs (basically any polymer framed gun). Glock was the first, & others have undercut them a little but Glocks are still VERY cheap guns. Practically disposable cheap.

Also the good Glock competitors are creeping up in price, the XD is more than it used to be.

Nobody in their right mind would consider a Glock to be an expensive gun.

Im just saying in terms of pricing of quality guns in general. You can get some decent ruger pistols for $300, so a $500-$600 pistol is almost twice that price, so they are pricy in that aspect. But in general they are about an average price with sigs being the med-higher end at around $700, and kimbers being High end at $1000+.

Yea the XD is creaping up in price, I wouldnt own one to save my life either.
Never said the glock was exspensive just said pricy compared to others.

I paid $250 for my 19, BRAND new at a pawn shop about a year back. I lucked out and I guess they had it priced wrong.

i think all gun manufacturers says shooting reloads voids the warranty.
as you said, i'm not sure how they can tell though

I've got a Glock 32 (.357 Sig) w/ an extra barrel from a Glock 23 (.40 S&W). It's pretty awsome, the clip holds both rounds the same and I can change the barrels out in under a minute for a little variety.

Basically the G32 and 23 are the same exact gun, just different barrels chambered ford different rounds. It's actually a little more accurate shooting .357 Sig ammo (not a huge difference, just a little tighter groupings), but I usually keep the .40 barrel in the gun with a full mag of Ricoh jacked hollow points for home defense (I live right off the highway).

i never said they weren't good guns. i would just not buy one because of the way they look. just personal taste/opinion
