Globalwin FOP-32 - thermal pad or paste?

Hi everyone!
I just purchased a Globalwin FOP-32 which came along with thermal pad. I'm wondering if I could increase the performance of the cooler when using a thermal paste or is the pad sufficient. (I'm not looking for power cooling ) I've some cheap paste at home so which one should I consider?

Use arctic silver 2 grease.

yep! use Arctic Silver2! clean everything up with isopropyl alcohol to make sure you have maximum contact between the die and the heat Sink. check out Arctic Silver's site for detailed instructions. good luck!

Remove the pad, clean it sufficiently, and use a thermal grease. I dont recommend using AS2, cause it's obvious that you're strapped for cash (using an FOP) and AS2 is ~$8 shipped. It's far more economical to grab some generic thermal compound from Radio Shack for $2.
