Luckily those things drop only on places in the USA. Got over a hundred movies to prove it

Love Bill Nye's awkward pause after hearing that. Definite blonde moment there. Amazing how uneducated a lot of news people are.

LOL, I had to watch that a second time. I was trying to determine if I could detect any sarcasm in her voice, but none was detected. She just appears to be extremely dumb :hmm:

Speaking of dumb. :whiste:

Heat also attracts Asteroids! :colbert:

But no, atmospheric heat is not a contributing factor for earthquakes.

I didn't say it did, just that it could. It is a reasonable thing to at least investigate. Mainly because of what we know of Tectonic Plates and Heat Expansion would seem to indicate that it could be a factor.

There should probably never be any earthquakes under-water then, because it's so much cooler.

Oh wait ... :hmm:

Uhh, that doesn't even make sense. You do understand what "contributing" means right?

The heat is insignificant in itself. If however whole ice sheets melt the underlying ground no longer that weight, causing a decompression, and that could destabilize faults.
