Im just wondering about some points of the whole global warming debate. What does all of this mean for us in Canada? People have been saying the entire north will melt during the summer, and then others are talking about how there was more ice up there this year than ever before. Surely, there are plenty of untapped resources up there and if we begin extraction in the summer months then we'll directly deposit more pollutants up north and perhaps make the problem exponentially worse, exponentially faster [ok it's not going to disappear instantly but it should accellerate the process right?]
Can anyone point me out to yearly charts or graphs about how the ice forms over the year, how far it reaches, things like shipping routes opening, or about resources that can be found and where?
Personally I think im slowly becoming more of a hippy [yeah i dont like it either], but looking at how within a few generations we've wiped off species that have been forming over a billion years so quickly, hopefully industries will learn to better streamline and start to better manage our impact on the world. Ok I went off track, but can anyone point me to both the facts and different articles on the topic? [yes Ive been googling but im hoping to find some better info if anyone has it]
