Has anyone heard of this new program? Just got an email from my company saying that they're scheduling the interviews within the company if we have enough people interested. Basically, for $100 + background check + interview, you get access to customs kiosks where you can just swipe the passport, give your fingerprint and make any customs declarations. Allows you to skip those pesky US customs lines when coming back into the country. I figured this would be a great deal for frequent travelers.

Edit: Downside is it only lasts 5 years. I'm guessing at that point you have to re-apply.

I get this for free with my amex card, but have yet to use it.
don't want to spend the time going through the application process, not sure if it's worth it, the customs line usually isn't too long anyway.

Woah wait Amex offers this or is it just specific cards? I have a Starwoods card and I'm wondering if I can get it for free as well...

My experience with customs is that the lines are almost always long (especially in JFK and Newark) unless you're coming back at some godawful hour.

amex plat only i think, it's a new benefit they just added this year, along with $250 annual airline credit.
