Yes, my company is still using dialup over POTS lines. 🙁
We have been using a VPN Client more and more though, in our bigger city offices - but that isn't an option for most of the company.
The POTS lines are severely limiting our connect speeds and local call areas, and our 800 number is racking up a huge bill. So we've been looking around for an ISP that will give us a global account, and will just bill us on minutes used. The plan is to run our VPN Client over the dialup connection. But I've been avoiding this idea for a long time because I'm afraid the throughput to our network is going to be extremely slow. 😕
I've also contacted a local ISP that may be able to setup a VPN route between their network and our network and just connect to us that way. Now that would be cool...
