I've always ranked Planetside as one of my favorite games of all time. There was nothing like playing this game with good friends. It was even better when you incorporated a strategy to take down a base or tower, or even to work together with other outfits towards global domination. To me, it was the pinnacle of getting a game where you worked together as a team and where you could work your way into the squad/outfit as whatever you really wanted to do. I usually played in a support role (Adv. Medic/Hack/Engineering) and I had a boatload of fun with that role. Since Planetside's release of the BFRs though, I stopped playing that game. It was just released as a gimic and didn't really bring anything to the field of battle except for an easy way to break stalemates. To me, it wasn't fun. I've been searching and yearning for a game that can come close to Planetside. For a time I thought it would be Huxley. But after looking at the screenshots and some early alpha releases of the gameplay, I don't want to be jumping up and down trying to dodge bullets. Neocron never caught my eye. So my gaming family and I have been put into the World of Warcraft rut for the longest time. Sure there were bright spots as far as the MMO world was concerned (LOTRO for example) but we never caught ourselves talking about the good old days of saving Southshore or kicking some Monster tail in LOTRO like we talked about the fond days of doing those tower drops.
This game may bring a lot of the family back under our Dragonwolf banner.
I just wanted to introduce you all to this game and I want to hear your opinion on it as well.
