Glitches appearing in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1&2

I have a falcon chipset 360 that I got early this year. The manufacture date says 2007, so maybe it isn't a falcon, but I was under the impression that it was. Anyway, I played the first marvel ultimate alliance years ago on a different console and it was flawless. Now suddenly on my current 360 I am getting un-completeable quests, bugged dialog, people getting yanked around by NPC's and other weird things. Also, in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 I am getting visual effects that aren't appearing like visual cues e.g. an X button symbol when you need to press a switch etc. And when a character casts a radial power it doesn't really appear but it still does damage.

This is un-precedented for me since it just started doing it. My console is cool to the touch in the back. What could be happening? Do consoles just freak out and maybe die like this? Thanks for any ideas.

Is your console on the network or standalone?

I have it connected via ethernet but I just have xbox live silver, I'm not a subscriber or anything.

Maybe try clearing the cache on the console. That should delete any downloaded updates. Then once you start the game disc again, it'll look for and download the update.

Clearing cache didn't seem to help. I also notice now that when I make a dialog choice that I've been making the entire game, like Agressive, occasionally it tells me I just chose Diplomatic and it starts counting towards a Diplomatic reward.

I cleared cache, uninstalled the game from the hard drive, reinstalled then cleared cache again. Now I have a whole new set of glitches. I've never had this much trouble with a console game ever.

Does anyone have a thought on this? Is it possible that my console is ailing? I've been posting in forums specifically for this game and nobody else has this much trouble.

Have you tried it without it installed to your hard drive? Have you tried your copy in another 360? Have you tried another copy of the game in your 360?

I need to try it without the game installed to the HDD. The other two options aren't available to me. Thanks.
