Hope your dad does better. I take it they could not remove it via surgery. I had a hemangioblastoma but was able to have it removed via surgery, took about 1 and 1/2 years before I was totally recovered.

Here is a good site for information on glioblastoma multiforme.

CouponCollect, Sorry to hear about that. Best of luck to your dad and your family.

Of course, if it came back then it wasn't a cure. Ewing's sarcoma is a completely different disease from glioblastoma multiforme, and there's no guarantee that the csct had anything to do with the remission, if there truly was one. Either way, if any of you are considering this treatment, then tell your physician. One point that I thought was interesting: "The fee for a course of Cell Specific Cancer Therapy is U.S.$15,000". I suspect this will not be covered by your medical insurance.

yeah -- seems like there are lots of people willing to give you new and exciting treatments that aren't FDA approved for 20 grand :(

hmm okay my cousin went to the dominican republic with remains of a grape fruit size tumor attached to her bladder and other parts (euings is a bone cancer yet has never attached itself to a bone in her body) she was tested up here by2-3 hospitals, came back was tested again, had no signs of cancer, had less cancer signs in her than someone who has never had cancer. this time the cancer (4yrs remision?) tumor was dead, a new tumor mind you, the doctors up here found it partially dead, (same stuff, roughly the same location) and she went to the csct center in mexico because the dominican republic one closed down, and the lump is now gone. between times she has been on strict homeopathic diets/medicines from all kinds of sources, her and her parents poured hours of study into everything, also because the cancer came back, the second time was free, just had to pay to treavel down their. and she never had chemo therapy once, none of the homeopathic stuff killed it, might have kept it at bay, but a tumor the size of an orange doesnt disapear just because you vacationed to the tropics.

about the 15,000. i dunno, but i've also met quite a few other people that this stuff helped, unfortunatly though you're right they can't help every one. we lost a dear friend last year to liver cancer that they wouldn't be beat. cancer is the worst affliction set upon us by the devil, and hell be freeze over if i'll not tell every one about any option i know of..

you guys are scared just cause the US fda hasnt accepted em? when was the last time the fda had been acceptable? thier are tons of cures and final solutions to alot of plagues, but because the fda can charge more for drugs that slow down stuff, than a one hit cure. so the fda has stopped alot of good technologys that could save lives in the name of profits, oh yeah all hail the FDA, all those wonder full side-efect causing drugs they let pass, that can make them money. bow to the mighty FDA

ArkAoss,
[rant]Your post is so full of sh!t I don't even know where to begin. First, the FDA is not a money making organization, so the entire crux of your argument is useless. Show me one even remotely decent study that shows CSCT is useful in treating cancer ... you can't. These people are bloodsuckers that pray off of the desperation that cancer patients have. I am incredibly happy that your cousin survived, but the likelihood that it was from the CSCT is minute. If there was any remotely decent science backing this stuff up, hundreds of people would be studying it.

<< thier are tons of cures and final solutions to alot of plagues, but because the fda can charge more for drugs that slow down stuff, than a one hit cure. >>

your favorite movie is conspiracy theory isn't it? The fact of the matter is you are entirely wrong. There is no cure for cancer. If there were, no one could keep it from surfacing. Unfortunately people with no medical background do not understand the scope and complexity of the human body, cures for illnesses (colds, flu, infections) may be found because we know exactly what cause them, however, cures for diseases (cancer, heart disease, diabetes) are a different story. We don't know what causes them, so how are we supposed to cure them?[/rant]
