THE KILLERS TURN DOWN TOP SPOT AT GLASTONBURY.
The Killers have turned down a headlining spot at one of the world?s most prestigious music festivals, according to the British music magazine NME. The band are set to play second on the bill at this year?s Glastonbury festival in England, but were offered the top spot when pop star Kylie Minogue pulled out due to her breast cancer diagnosis. But the Las Vegas band has turned down the offer. Drummer Ronnie Vannucci said, ?We were offered the headlining slot but we didn?t take it because we?re basically a band that?s been around for, as far as the U-K?s concerned, a little over a year. So we didn?t think we were deserving of a headlining slot, we?re just happy to be playing in a good spot at Glastonbury anyway. We only have one album out.?
