contacts > glasses.
don't worry about getting them into your eyes, it's easy. I got them in for the first time in 45minutes. Just give yourself time to learn, and its a piece of cake. Getting them out is a breeze too.
Contacts can go for pretty cheap, try 1-800-contacts or something, my aunt works at the optimitrist(sp) so i can get good discounts, like $16-17 a box of acuvue2's. acuvue2's come with 6 per box, so 3sets. each set will last you 2weeks, so thats 6weeks or close to two months. which comes to around $119 per year for acuvue2 contacts, which isn't bad considering all the benefits of contacts, and the price of glasses frames. You will need a pair of glasses for backup, but contacts are oo-so worth it.
Make sure you follow the directions, remember that your cornea gets all its oxygen from the air because there are no blood vessels running through the cornea (obviously, it has to be clear). Thats why it is important to take them out at night to give your eyes time to breath. Usually the more breathable contacts say they can be worn overnight, but i wouldn't do that. Maybe a few hours nap tops becuase your eyes will be irritated. The more breathable a contact is, the more uncomfortable and rigid it usually is. I've tried just about every contact, and nothing so far has had the best breathable-comfort ratio as the acuvue's.
cliffnotes:
- go contacts, also get cheap glasses.
