its raining outside, and there are birds chirping. i wish i could open the doors (to the backyard, which are right next to me) so i could hear them, without letting all the heat out. thatd be cool.


and yes, i did purposefully neglect to say in the title that this glass doesnt exist (as far as i know?) so people would actually read this.:evil:

Ah, I can hear (loud) outside noises through my windows. Perhaps it's not coming through the glass but resonating via it, or, through the frame, etc, but, I can hear it. I can hear a lot more with the windows open so it's not transparent, etc.

I guess northerners with double panel glass blocks a bit more sound (and provides better heat insulation) than we do with our cheap(er) stuff here in S.FL.

if the glass is the right thickness do that it holds a standing wave of that particular frequency, resonance should do the trick for ya....
