Glass Door for Sony Wega 36" TV stand.

Does anybody know where to find the glass doors for a Sony Wega 36" TV stand? One of my friends accidentially shattered one of the doors on mine and I am looking for a replacement. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, aside from calling Sony up and asking(which isn't a bad idea) your local Glassier(I think that's what it's called, the glass maker) can probably make you a replacement piece.

I'm guessing you still have the hinge mounts and whatnot from the shattered one, and also the other glass door?(it sounds like there's two glass doors from the way you said one of the doors) From that I believe an intelligent glassier should be able to make a mirror image of the one that still exists, and then just mount the leftover pieces from the original glass door.

And of course your friend will be paying the bill.

I'd look into some Plexi-glass. Home Depot sells this stuff for some pretty good prices. Going through a glass dealer might not be cheap.

The only thing about going the Plexiglass route would be it wouldn't match the other door. I need an exact replacement. The other door would be super heavy compared to a plexiglass one and it wouldn't have the tint the other door has either. I have toyed around with the glassier idea but I'm not sure if that's going to be what I'm looking for either since it would be expensive. I haven't been able to find a place that still has the type of stand that I have for my TV. I'm hoping that these glass doors are compatible with other tv stands.
