I am having problems with glare on my iPad Air 2 would a iPad Pro help with this or do I just need higher brightness setting on my screen?

Yes. Or avoid direct lighting. It is a technical limitation. iPad Pro is a bit better but not by much. Also the Pro's max brightness is about 100 cd/m² higher, so raising brightness does alleviate the glare somewhat - at the cost of battery life, of course. I suggest trying anti-glare screen protectors. They definitely do help, but depending on products some will give the screen a grainy look. Check out the reviews and pictures uploaded by users, you should be able to find out which one to get. At worst case scenario you are out of a few bucks.
