Glare shield for a monitor?

my new office has my monitor right under a skylight and the screen is totally washed out. are there any good screens out there that you can put over the monitor?

Just put your monitor underneath a canopy or shelf or something.

I think I'll order a 3M privacy/glare shield, our office products catalog has one for like $300!! no glare + sneaky surfing of AT = worth it.

LCDs glare as well. Maybe not as much, but they do.

The NEC LCD1765 (I think that's the model number) glares worse than any CRT I've ever seen. It has this protective screen mounted on top of the actual screen but it causes so much glare it's ridiculous. That's the only reason I didn't buy one, though, since it's gotten great reviews.
