at least the GLA AMG version has four wheel drive. the base models are FWD.. cant believe merc makes FWD cars

The GLA250 has 4MATIC by default.

This is the one I would be interested in. It is within $6k of what my Forester cost. And my Forester wasn't even top of the line.

They've been doing so for at least 17 years, not counting commercial vehicles, which go back to the 80s.
More shocking by far is that they currently sell a rebadged Renault. :D

Yet another model from Mercedes? They need to consolidate and focus on what they know.

The base price is an outright lie compared to the price with options on Germans. You're probably looking at least 10k with anything on it.

I only added a couple thousand in options building it online.

Look at local dealer stock of CLA45, they officially start at roughly the same price but what they're actually building stickers at 60k.

$60k is just really hard to justify, you could have practically gotten a CTS-V wagon for that let alone C7.

Its really really hard to find the stripped ones in dealer inventory. I'd be shocked if you didn't have 4-5k minimum in options. You can always order if you're willing to wait (and probably pay closer to msrp)

Looks like a badge-engineered Mazda3 Hatchback that was beaten with the Mercedes ugly-stick a few times. It's remarkably similar to a Mazda3 hatch in size, too:

GLA vs. Mazda3 Hatch:
Wheelbase: 106.3 / 106.3 (inches)
Length: 175 / 175.6 (inches)
Height: 58.8 / 57.3 (inches)
Width: 71.0 / 70.7 (inches)
HP: 355 / 184
Tq: 332 / 185
$$$: $50K / $20K
0-60 (est): 4.8 / 7.4

The Mazda 3 doesn't have AWD and sits too low. If looking for a cheap competitor of similar attributes, the XV Crosstrek would be much better.
