Giving out private email address policy

What is the policy of this site concerning giving out private email addresses to other individuals who are members of this forum so that they may ask questions about getting a deal?

Feel free to give out your email address at your leisure.

But I have a feeling you're talking about other members. There really is no official policy when it comes to email addresses. The mods and admins don't give out anyone's address, but if someone has their address visible to everybody then I don't see why it'd be a problem. Unless of course it's for a spamming list.

If they have their email address hidden, however, then I would strongly advise asking that person for their permission before giving out their private information to strangers.

Either way, the polite thing to do would be to ask the person no matter what. That's as good a policy as any.
