Giving Firefox a try....

Just installed Firefox on my IBM T40. For some reason I can scroll up and down fine while using the untranav device but am unable to use it to scroll side to side. This one may force me to go back to IE.

Also I hear there is a patch or something to speed up browsing but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Other than that it seems pretty nice but maybe I'll find other things after more usage.

Do a search, there is plenty of information on speeding up firefox. :)

google or look through the firefox extensions for untranav. Maybe one of the people that write extensions have heard of it.

Try out a couple of themes. I found one that has a GUI much more similar to IE. It took me a little getting-used-to, but I'd never go back to IE now. I love the tabbed browsing, and the Bookmarks Toolbar. The auto-pop-up-stopper works like a charm.

I have problems downloading things in Firefox. For example, my kids neede the updated flash player to get on Disney.com. It wouldn't d/l in Firefox for some reason (I make them use Firefox for the security). I switched to IE, downloaded and installed, and now they can play using Firefox. Also, on some wepages I can't scroll down with the mouse wheel.
I'm sure there are fixes for this, but I just use IE to avoid the hassles. The popup blocker in SP2 work fine, and Norton (and common sense) takes care of the security problems.

I got it speed up. I still haven't found a way to fix the horizontal scrolling issue with the ultranav device. Found the options for horizontal scrolling for a tilt-wheel mouse but that didn't help.
