hey everybody, just shop around for the right religion for you. it's dial-a-religion. let's ignore the fact that what really matters is what is real and in tune with reality. instead let's just make crap up and find the easiest fake way of life for us, who cares about that reality and truth stuff. have fun sorting through all the 1000s of fake beliefs to find the 1 fake belief that you think is real, like so many before you.

Is there anything more to life than getting sex?

I'm 17, and I've been agnostic for quite some time. When I say agnostic, I really mean it, I just have no idea what I believe and I'm open to almost anything. I went to a Lutheran church/school in my younger days (til I was 7 or so) but haven't been back since, and my family doesn't go to church.

I'm not really sure what I'm hoping to accomplish, it's not like I'm expecting to walk in and just walk out all of a sudden believing something. I guess maybe I'm just seeing if I find any sort of enlightenment-and who knows maybe one of these denominations will strike a chord with me. I'm gonna go to a Lutheran church for awhile with one friend, then another friend is gonna take me to a Catholic church. I'm told I can participate in everything except communion (i'm not even really sure what that is).

I grew up going to Baptist church and have recently become agnostic. I'm 20, but became agnostic when I was about 18-19. Hope you find what's best for you...

grown up as a JW, then agnostic from 16-23 and since then atheist i would have to agree. just do what you think is the best for you and if it's not look elsewhere:beer:

I've never found enlightenment within the confines of a building built by an organized religion. I'm sure many people have- and I respect their beliefs. My moments of greatest inspiration and happiness have occured in a variety of locations- sometimes alone, sometimes in the company of one other person, and sometimes with many people.

Good luck in your search for truth.

Enlightenment? Search for "truth"? As an agnostic, I believe that we are simply here, and could care less if others think that we are part of some greater purpose or grand design. Given that we have free will, life is and can only be what we make of it. If you feel that you're lacking something insubstantial that can be satisfied by going to a place with other like-minded people and talking to/about God, more power to you.

Good for you! I'm atheist/agnostic, depending on when you ask me.

I'm all for someone going to a church who is looking for meaning in their life. If you need church for that, so be it. It can be a great place to not only learn new things, but to also meet new people.

Church and religion is the answer for some people, just not me.

If you're looking, do it right. Read up on what they believe, go and see how you feel; Religion is serious buisness. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons). If you are curious, IM me, or try out www.mormon.org; www.lds.org.

Go to a Catholic Church, Catholic Girls are easy (if you can ignore their mustaches)

Catholic boys are easy too, according to some catholic priests.

EDIT: I'm sorry, that was tasteless, but I just had to say it. :)
