So i've been told at some point in the next month, just dont know exactly when, i will be getting a week to a week and a half off work. No gf, no pets, no responsibilities so i'd like to just hop on a plane to somewhere. Are there any last minute travel sites where you can book these sort of last minute things that someone else has had to cancel? Not out of the country cause i dont have a passport, just to like NY, seattle, florida, cali, possibly even hawaii (you dont have to have a passport to go there do you?), just somewhere to get away and see something different.

go hiking in alaska!
I second the Alaska idea.

And I second the general idea. Given the situation, (although, it is a bit early in the year) I would probably just pack my hiking / camping stuff and head out on a road trip, or find some place to hike (Alaska may be a tad too far :) )

Yea, search for another job for when they make that week and a half vacation permanent.

lol @ somewhat related :p

If Alaska is too far, I'd check out hiking in the Rocky Mountains. It might still be a little cool to do very much but living in Arizona it seems like there'd be a lot of hiking opportunities fairly close to you (if you're into hiking).

Mightn't Alaska be a bit cold right now? There's still snow on the ground here in southern Ontario. I'd wait until at least April for that far north.

I've used hotwire.com a couple times recently and have gotten good fairs at the last minute. You just have to be flexible because they dont tell you what times you fly until after you book. I havent had any problems with them yet. Or you can try priceline

Wow.

LOL!
sorry, not seeing the wow or amusement factor here...maybe its cause i've never been outside of AZ/Cali/western states except on quick business trips to st louis and dallas...and like i said in my OP i do NOT have a passport and don't plan on traveling out of the us...i was just wondering if there was anything when it came to crossing the canadian airspace(to alaska) or the mexican airspace( to hawaii) cause i have absolutely no idea how/when passports are required.

also dont really need ideas i want websites...i kinda wanna play roulette when it comes to places...like find 5-6 and flip a coin....i just gotta find a place that allows me to get a package without having to setup too much :p

oh and the line in my sig...theres an HR tag in fusetalk ;) [-hr-] (take out the dashes)
